Who are Nurse practitioners (NP)?
ADAPS Healthcare is a Primary Care medical office that is owned and operated by a Nurse Practitioner. In the state of Massachusetts, Nurse Practitioners who meet certain criteria have full practice autonomy and can operate independently of a Medical Doctor.
According to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Nurse Practitioners are quickly becoming the health partner of choice for millions of Americans. As clinicians that blend clinical expertise in diagnosing and treating health conditions with an added emphasis on disease prevention and health management, Nurse Practitioners bring a comprehensive perspective to healthcare.
Who Are Nurse Practitioners (NP)?
Nurse practitioners (NPs) are advanced practice registered nurses and are integral to the U.S. healthcare system. Today, NPs are mainstream providers in all sectors of health including primary and specialty care. NPs diagnose, treat, and prescribe across a wide range of health conditions to all populations across the lifespan and take a true patient-centered approach to care. Focusing on health promotion, education, and counseling as well as disease prevention, NPs partner with their patients to make better health decisions. There are an estimated 222,000 NPs across the United States and Massachusetts has approximately 7,240. NPs care for millions of patients annually and have a 50-year history, validated with numerous patient outcome studies, of providing high quality, personalized care resulting in high levels of patient satisfaction.
NPs serve as primary care providers for you and your entire family
NPs offer both primary and specialized health care services
NPs work independently in collaboration, as needed, with other health care providers
At ADAPS Healthcare our Family Nurse Practitioners all practice independently and can care for everyone in your family ages 3 and up. The owner and founder, Rosemarie Spada has privileges with Fuller Hospital and coordinates with hospitalist colleagues in the surrounding hospitals to cover her patients admitted into multiple facilities. This ensures continuity of care should you or your family members ever need hospital care.
Feel free to ask us any questions you may have about the amazing care provided by our Nurse Practitioners.
